I would be interested to hear anything you can propose as well; such as guest post articles, product or business reviews, promoting up and coming events or promotions to each others’ databases etc. Cheers, Claudia Walsh Reply Shelley Marsh 12/03/2015 at 9:12 am Hi Claudia, sorry I do not do link exchanges. Thanks Shelley Reply Larissa 02/12/2015 at 12:18 pm Hi Shelley, Do you think it would be better to keep savings in an offset account for a home loan or to pay more off the mortgage each month? I am quite disciplined and can have the money sitting there without spending it but is it better in the long run to get it paid off? Thanks! Larissa Reply David 13/01/2016 at 10:25 pm Hi Shelley, I have read your post with great interest. My wife and I have an offset account with redraw and have recently paid off our morgage 13 years before the due date. In doing this it has left us quite a large amount of money in our redraw. People are telling me that this money belongs to us as it is money that we have saved in interest by paying much more on our morgage that is required. The bank is telling me that the money stays in the redraw to be used for renovations, holidays or what ever as a loan at home loan interest rates. If somebody various this or tell me of their experiences it would be appreciated. Thanks David. Reply Shelley Marsh 25/01/2016 at 5:45 pm Hi David! Great job on the mortgage! My understanding is that the money stays in the redraw until you decide to take some out. If you take it out then it is like taking a loan at mortgage rates. For example if you have a 100K mortgage and 100K in the redraw and take out 20K you will then have a 100K offset by 80K mortgage or the equivalent of 20K of your mortgage still outstanding. I think of a redraw as a place to hold mortgage repayments that you have made early where you can still access them. Obviously if you no longer wanted to access the money you could use the redraw to pay off the mortgage in full. I hope this make sense. Reply Robyn 21/06/2016 at 4:06 pm hello I really need some help with changing my super I have found that is costs more than it has ever made. its just over 10,000 dollars and its attracted to my bank account with Westpac. I am an at home mum at the moment, and if I will ever make contributions to a super fund again so what fund should i change too.? not sure what low paying job I will get again. not having any idea of when I will start working. my partner and I have a dream to buy a house and had an idea of super funded house deposit. when looking at funds they all have fees and don’t seam to value low super amounts. I don’t want to waste the amount I have but it seams that fees will eat it up and I should of given away from the start. please any advice or redirection to go in would be most valuable Sincerely Robyn Reply John Smith 29/08/2018 at 3:25 pm Hello, My name is John and I am a Digital Marketing Specialists for a Creative Agency.
